Mangaluru, Mar 24, 2015 : A release to media said Corporation Bank was awarded the ‘SKOCH Achiever Award’, instituted by Skoch Consultancy for National SME enablement. The bank’s chairman and managing director S.R. Bansal received the award from Union Minister of State for Finance, Jayant Sinha, in New Delhi.
The bank described several of its initiatives to strengthen the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, including collateral-free loan up to Rs. 1 crore under credit guarantee scheme etc., have made the bank to get the award.
It has customised loan schemes to cater to the needs of the MSME sector and launched SME loan centres across the country.
Corporation Bank was also conferred the first award of “National Awards for Excellence in MSE Lending” and second award under “National Awards for Excellence in lending to Micro enterprises” for the financial year 2012-13, instituted by Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
