Mangaluru, Mar 13, 2020 : The 115th Foundation Day of Corporation Bank was celebrated at the Fr Muller Convention Centre here on March 12, Thursday.
General Managers Rajesh Kumar and Guruharinath Rao S Kumar, former Deputy Governor of Varma Vittaldas Leeladhar and Corporation Bank’s former chairman K R Kamath inaugurated the celebrations.
The dignitaries also offered floral tributes to the Bank’s Founder late Khan Bahadur Haji Abdulla Haji Kasim Saheb Bahadur.
Speaking on the occasion, Guruharinath Rao recalled the growth story of Corporation Bank which made humble beginnings in Udupi in the year 1906 and has taken giant strides since then to be one of India’s best public sector Banks having a business of over Rs 3 lakh crores.
As part of the CSR initiative of the Bank, financial aid was handed over to Sharada Dhanvantari Charitable Hospital of Shringeri for purchase of essential equipment, Chamarajnagar Institute of Medical Sciences for purchase of a bus towards providing mobile medical facilities and to the National Cadet Corps Group Headquarters in Mangaluru towards providing some amenities for canteen building.
The formal ceremony was followed by classical dance performances by Sanatana Natyalaya members and a musical event by Ajay Warrier and team.
