The Bank has embarked upon ambitious branch expansion and customer acquisition programme in order to cater to diverse segments in general and financially excluded in particular. Out of 250 outlets launched today, 100 outlets are dedicated for financially excluded in villages across the country where there is no Bank Branch.

Corporation Bank is the pioneer in taking the initiative of  "Branchless Banking" project  providing Banking at the doorsteps of the remote villagers. The Bank has branded it as ‘Corp Grameen Vikas Kendra’. Under this scheme, the Bank is taking the technology to the benefit of rural populace without going through the route of opening of regular branches. There is a huge value proposition in "Branchless Banking" for those who have no access to formal financial system. Remote villagers can now carry out basic banking activities from their own village at any time of the day which is convenient to them, without losing their daily wages and also save on the transportation cost & time.

All the newly opened branches are under Core Banking Solutions, which gives  Corporation Bank customers Pan-India access.
