Coronavirus Conrol Room opened at Smart City Command and Control Centre in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, March 26, 2020: The Smart City Command and Control Centre functioning at Mangaluru City Corporation building is being used as Corona Control Centre by Dakshina Kannada District Administration.

Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, Mangaluru City Corporation commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde and senior police officers visited the centre on Thursday. According to Mangaluru Smart City Limited, Mangaluru Smart City Command & Control Centre (ICCC) is acting as a 24X7 central control room for monitoring Covid-19 situation in the DK district.

A dedicated Call Centre with helpline No 1077 has been operationalized for monitoring and advising the citizens under self quarantine as telemedicine facility.

Dedicated professionals from Mangaluru Corporation, police and doctors are available at CC, to take calls from the citizens and provide appropriate information.

Monitoring Centre: The ICCC based control room is being used as a Single point to monitor multi-location, multi departmental and multi-level activities. ICCC is fully equipped to monitor, Collect, Consolidate and report Real time data on the pandemic, an official said.
