Corona Virus fears : DK Administration on alert, says DC

Mangaluru, March 04, 2020:   Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh has said that no Corona Virus case has been detected in Dakshina Kannada district so far. She has requested the public to bring to the notice of the administration if anyone develops Corona Virus symptoms. She also stated that isolation ward has been kept readied at the Wenlock Hospital for any suspected Corona Virus patients.

Screening of passengers arriving from abroad is done at  Mangaluru International Airport and at the New Mangaluru Port on a daily basis. Every day around 500 to 600 passengers are screened, until now over 20,000 passengers have been screened, the DC informed.
