The arrested person is Satish Babu from Kasargod. It has been gathered that Satish was staying in the Ashram after telling the Ashram authorities that he had lost all the money he had. Still the Ashram authorities who grew suspicious about him, had informed the police. Satish duly admitted his guilt during interrogation by the police.

A Kerala police team has already left for Haridwar to bring Satish back to the state. Earlier, the police had gathered information about his stay in Haridwar after Satish had sent an SMS to his brother and following the arrest of three of his associates. Wasting no time, the Kerala police informed the Haridwar police who managed to arrest Satish.

Sister Amala who was found dead in the convent had suffered injuries above her forehead and behind her head. The motive behind the murder is not known.
