Mangaluru, Jan 04, 2018: Relenting to pressure, the police have finally allowed the funeral procession of the slain Deepak Rao to be taken from his residence at Katipalla to the Hindu crematorium at the Katipalla Janatha Colony on January 4, Thursday.
The Police have maintained heavy security arrangements to ensure there is no untoward incident.
Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) and other Hindu organisations have called for a protest and road block in Mangaluru city on Friday morning demanding a ban on two political outfits Popular Front of India (PFI) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).
VHP leader Gopal said the protest will begin at 11 am on Friday with a road block. The objective of the protest is to condemn the murder of Hindu activist Deepak Rao in Mangaluru on Wednesday.
