Mangalore, Jan 9, 2014 : A delegation of the District Congress Committee met Mangalore City Police Commissioner R Hithendra on January 8, Wednesday and submitted a memorandum to him demanding the arrest of senior RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat who has been booked for making a provocative speech during the Hindu Sangama at Gurupur recently.
The delegation also made a request to the Commissioner to invoke Goonda Act against the RSS leader.
Mohammad Badruddin, KPCC Minority Cell Member who was part of the delegation, while stating that the erstwhile BJP government had backed Kalladka Bhat and hoped that the present government will not spare him.
The Congress delegation also recalled a provocative speech made by Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat during a rally at Uppinangady which too had triggered communal tension.
