Mangaluru, Dec 27, 2019: State Minister for Rural Development and Panchayatraj Eshwarappa has accused the Congress of trying to make Mangaluru into a Goonda Raj.
Speaking to reporters at the Mangaluru International Airport enroute Udupi on December 27, Friday, he said the state government would foil any such attempts by the Congress. He also said the government was contemplating to make those who destroyed public properties during the anti-CAA protests, to pay up for the same.
On the state government decision to withhold compensation to the family of the two killed in Mangaluru police firing, Eshwarappa said the move has been made as investigations revealed that the two were also accused. He further said the compensation will be paid if they are proved innocent.
