Congress leader slams BJP-led MCC rule for neglecting opposition leaders

Mangaluru, Feb 27, 2023: The ruling BJP in the MCC by not inviting MLA and Opposition Deputy Leader in Assembly U T Khader and MLC Manjunath Bhandary for the inauguration of the Pavilion at Mangala Stadium and other works under the Smart City, is behaving as if it had no faith in the democratic system, alleged  Corporator and KPCC Spokesperson A C Vinayraj.

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters at Congress Office here on February 27, Monday, he said it is the duty of the ruling party to give respect to the opposition parties. But the BJP  is not adhering  to this, he said.

As per protocol, the names of  both the leaders ought to have been mentioned in the invitation card. But Manjunath Bhandari’s name was reportedly included in the last minute but was not formally invited. Even the district administration and in-charge minister is silent in this respect, he added.

Congress leaders Prakash Salian, Appi and others were present.
