Mangalore,Mar,2, 20114 : State BJP Vice President Bhanuprakash who was in the city on March 1, Saturday has strongly criticised the Congress for choosing Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency for its internal polls experiment even when a senior and honest leader like B Janardhan Poojari who is close to the Nehru family was a strong contender for party ticket.

Addressing media persons in the city on March 1, Saturday, Bhanuprakash described the decision of holding Party Primaries as nothing but an experiment on veteran leader B Janardhan Poojari.

He set aside speculations on the BJP candidate for Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency and asserted that Nalin continues to remain the choice of the party. He also described as ‘impossible’ any move to change candidate for DK constituency.

District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak also spoke and said the party totally backed the March 3 bundh call opposing implementation of Yettinahole project. On this day, BJP corporators will also stage a demonstration in front of the City Corporation office demanding early election of Mayor.

Legislator of Karkala Sunil Kumar was also present at the press meet.
