Congress Primaries: Poojari, Harsha, Kanachur Monu file nominations

 Mangalore, March 1, 2014:  Senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari,  Union Minister Veerappa Moily’s son and entrepreneur Harsha Moily and Congress leader Kanachur Monu filed their nominations  to contest the Primaries which the Congress party intends to hold on March 9 to select the party candidate for the Dakshina Kannada Constituency.


 

 

 

 Speaking to reporters after filing his nomination, Janardhan Poojari said he had the confidence that the party men would support him considering the welfare programmes initiated by him in his political career so far.

 Stating that the decision to hold primaries was a good decision, Poojari said if it was successful, then the same procedure would be followed to select candidates in the future.

In the meantime, Harsha Moily who also spoke said he had been meeting booth level party men since the past four months and exuded confidence that they would stand in support of him.

Reiterating that he would win the Primaries, Harsha Moily said the Yettinahole Project would do no harm to the coastal region and added the March 3 bundh call opposing the project would only hit hard the people.

  The nominations will be scrutinised on March 2 and symbols will be provided the candidates the same day. The results will be announced on the day of the election itself.
