Mangaluru, Nov 13, 2018: Complaint lodged against former Law Minister T B Jayachandra in Urva police station for threatening to burn the Prime Minister Narendra Modi alive.
The complainant, Sudheer Shettygar, a resident of Pompai Shed apartment in Chilimbi was surprised to read TBJ’s warning to Prime Minister published in a Kannada daily on November 11.
Jayachandra said "The prime minister had sought 50 days time to set things right (after demonetisation). He had asked people to set him on fire alive if he failed to overcome this test ..probably the time has come to burn him alive," at a programme in Tumkuru on Friday.
Sudheer Shettygar said, "As a fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, It was indeed alarming to read about Jayachandra’s conspiracy to murder Prime Minister and thus filed a complaint in Urva police station."
Sources in Urva police station informed that the complaint had been accepted and the next course of action will be decided in consultation with senior officers.
