Mangaluru, Aug 28, 2019: City Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha who conducted a parade of nearly 150 rowdy sheeters at the Police Samudaya Bhavan here on August 28, Wednesday has announced a package aimed at reforming rowdy sheeters into good citizens.
On this occasion, the Commissioner asked the rowdy sheeters to shun crime and try to lead life as good citizens right from this day.
He said there is scope for venturing into self-employment under various government schemes while some NGOs and organisations are also willing to offer jobs.
On this occasion, the Commissioner said the families of rowdy sheeters will be sensitized in order to make sure that another member does not enter the crime world.
The cops always keep an eye on the movements of rowdy sheeters, he said and also mentioned about the recently introduced My Beat My Pride programme.
He also assured all co-operation on behalf of the Police Department if the rowdy sheeters pledge to lead a reformed life.
DCPs Arunamshugiri, Lakshmi Ganesh, ACPs Kodandarama, Srinivas Gowda and others were present.
