Clash between two groups prevail tension at Kulai

Mangalore, Jan 14, 2014: A clash between two groups over a betting, during a cricket tournament prevail tension at Kulai.
It is said that one group had barged into a house near the Kalikamba Temple at Preethinagara Kulai and assaulted the family members on January 13, Monday night; in return the other group intercepted a bike rider, assaulted him and fled from the scene.
Reportedly, the group had even pelted stone a Bhajana Mandir in the area.
As per the complaint, a group of 10 to 15 members including Riyaz, Afiz and Tausif had barged into the residence of Anil and assaulted his family members.
Panambur police officials under the leadership of ACP P Ravikumar reached the spot. The complaint has been registered in connection with it and police have been deployed in the area to avoid untoward incidents.
