Clarity on alleged medical seat blocking issue only after completion of IT probe: Deputy CM

Mangaluru, Oct 25, 2019: Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwathanarayana has said that there can be clarity on the issue of alleged medical seat  blocking issue, only after the Income Tax Department completes its probe on the matter.

Speaking to reporters in Mangaluru  on October 25, Friday, he said the state government would take necessary steps after the completion of the IT probe.

On the complaints that the state government was not launching any scheme due to paucity of funds, the  Deputy CM said as the government was executing projects based on the previous budget itself it was facing a tough task in adjusting funds for provision of compensation during floods and natural calamities. He said  new schemes will be announced in the next budget.

The Deputy CM also stated that the government was committed on farm loan waivers and added that all anomalies in the process would be set right.

 A draft of the proposed new education policy is being prepared in accordance to the national guidelines, the Deputy CM further said while replying to a question.
