City bus goes berserk; hits 8 vehicles, injures 3 near Mallikatta

Mangaluru, Dec 28, 2014: A city bus operating on the Adyar-State Bank route  went out of control of its driver and  crashed against as many as eight vehicles before coming to an abrupt halt, in the process leaving three persons injured. The accident was reported near Mallikatta on December 28.

 

Eyewitnesses said the bus which was on the Mallikatta-Nanthur road first hit a bike and then crashed against three more two-wheelers and as many as four cars.

Rash driving is said to be the cause of the accident. The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical. Fearing public ire, the bus driver fled soon after the accident.

Kadri police are investigating the case.
