Christmas inspires us to be messengers of peace: Udupi Bishop

Udupi, Dec 23, 2013: “God’s love is so vast that he gave everything to the world and kept nothing for Himself. Christmas proclaims peace and inspires us to be the messengers of peace,” said Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese.
Delivering his Christmas message at Bishop’s House here on December 23, Monday, in the presence of media men, Dr Lobo said Christmas should kindle the light within us. We should be loving and service driven like Christ.”
“Christmas is a feast when God came to earth as a human being and remained with the people,” the Bishop further added.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo said everyone must pray that God granted physical and mental strength to them.
Msgr Dr Baptist Menezes, Vicar General, Fr Denis D’Sa, PRO of Udupi Diocese Fr Fred Mascarenhas, Parish Priest of Udupi Mother of Sorrows Church and others were present.
A Christmas cake was cut as part of the celebrations.
