Moodigere, Dec 05, 2017: A tiger is on the prowl in Uduse in Kirugunda Gram Panchayat limits of Moodigere taluk in Chikkamagaluru district. The CCTV camera installed by the Forest Department in the area has captured the images of the tiger.
Locals had a fear that a tiger was roaming in the region since some time. There were even rumours that some people at Bettadamane had spotted a tiger. However the same could not be ascertained.
Last Friday, a calf and two buffaloes belonging to Nagesh of the village were found dead with their throats slit in a nearby plantation giving room for doubt that the poor animals were attacked by a tiger.
On gathering information about the same, Moodigere ACF Muddanna had visited the place and had taken steps to install CCTV camera in the plantation where the animals were found dead.
The Tiger had arrived at the place during the wee hours of Tuesday to consume the meat placed there and the images of the same have been captured by the CCTV camera. The development has created further panic among locals.
