The flight had  departed from Dammam at 6.20 pm local time. All credit goes to Saco Company directors Basheer Sagar and Altaf Ullal who had taken pains to arrange the flight and also  meeting all expenses towards hiring the chartered plane. Altaf informed that  the flight  was arranged by them to help the stranded Kannadigas due to lockdown and said the company staff or relatives were not among the passengers arrived. The company itself will be arranging quarantine and testing facilities for the passengers.

The company had set up a help desk to finalise the list of passengers and had given priority to senior citizens and pregnant ladies, those in need of medical aid and those who had to return urgently.
