Chandana channel to air ‘Koti-Chennaya’ serial from May 12

Udupi, May 10, 2013: A Kannada and Tulu tele serial ‘Koti-Chennaya’ based on the life and times of the legendary heroes of Tulunad will be telecast by Chandana channel of Door Dashan from May 12 onwards every Sunday from 8 am to 9.30 am. The serial can be watched by Tuluvas and Kannadigas  in 72 nations across the globe through satellite.

Ashok M Suvarna, Producer of the serial  said he was inspired by his father late Katapady Muddu Suvarna who had produced the Koti Chennaya cinema .He said through the serial he wants to enlighten the youth on the life of Koti Chennaya as also their valour.

 

 

He said the songs of the serial are composed by Dr BA Viveka Rai, Prof Amritha Someshwar, Ganesh Amin Sankamar and Vamana Nadnavar. The shooting of 20 episodes are complete, he said.

Chandrahas Alva who has the experience of working  under the renowned Puttana Kanagal  is the director of the serial.
