Mangaluru, May 31, 2016: DK District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai has alleged that the Union government is hatching a plot to privatise NMPT, New Mangalore Port Trust.

ramanath raiMinister Rai told media that the NDA government is acting as a puppet in the hands of corporate companies. Refusing to divulge details, Rai said that BJP protested against the UPCL in Nandikoor. Later, the Adani group took over UPCL. Now, the BJP leaders are silent on UPCL expansion.

Shiradi ghat  :  Shiradi Ghat road work, he said that BJP leaders only speak of funds sanctioned. But they fail to speak about the delay in the implementation of the second phase work.

He added the BJP had also protested against rise in petroleum prices, essential commodities, Aadhaar and FDI policy during the UPA regime. But after coming to power, the BJP is supporting the FDI and the Aadhaar. With this, it has proved that Modi-led NDA government is a U-turn government, he criticised.

Black money  :  Rai also stated that Narendra Modi had promised to bring back black money from foreign banks. It was just to woo the voters, nothing has been done in this respect. The government is engaged in only getting publicity. In the last two years, Rs 10,000 crore has been spent for publicity by the NDA government. The people  should understand the false promises made by the BJP during the election. The achievement of the BJP in the last two years is zero.

To a query on Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh’s call for “fresh ideas and fresh functioning style” to revive the party, he said there is no lack of leadership in the party.  CM Siddaramaiah is doing  good work. But the BJP is levelling allegations against him from all sides.
