Central market, fisheries dock observing bundh against Kathua incident

Mangaluru, Apr 23, 2018:  Merchants, labourers at the Central Market and people working at the fisheries dock at old port are observing a voluntary bundh on April 23, Monday to protest against the  Kathua rape and murder case. Though no organisation has given the bundh call at the Central market, traders and labourers are observing the bundh voluntarily

On Sunday itself no   goods arrived at the market unlike other days. The merchants had tried to sell off whatever produce they had on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the  Dry Fish Sellers and Commission Agents  Association had given a bundh call at the old port yard  following which all fishing activities have come to a grinding halt.
