Udupi, June 04, 2018: All the six accused including Hiriadka SI and two cops who were arrested in connection with the suspicious death of a cattle trader, have been remanded to judicial custody. Husainabba (62), a cattle trader from Jokatte in Mangaluru was found dead suspiciously near Perdoor in Udupi .
The arrested cops namely Sub-Inspector DN Kumar(53), head constable Mohan Kotwal and station jeep driver Gopal were produced amid tight security at the residence of Udupi magistrate late night on June 3 and were shifted to Karwar jail no sooner they were remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.
The other accused namely Chethan Acharya (22), Shailesh Shetty (20) and Ganesh Naika (24) of Perdoor, all of them Bajrangdal activists were produced before the Udupi Court on June 4, Monday morning. They too were remanded to judicial custody upto June 15 and shifted to Karwar jail.
