Bengaluru, Dec 07, 2023: Hindutva activist Chaitra Kundapur who was arrested by the CCB Police in Bengaluru in connection with a cash for ticket case, was released from the Parappana Agrahara Prison on Wednesday after the court granted her bail. She along with another accused Srikanth were granted bail two days ago. After the copies of the bail orders were submitted to the prison officers by her advocate, she was released on Wednesday night.
It may be recalled here that Govinda Babu Poojary had lodged a complaint alleging that Chaitra and her accomplices had cheated her of lakhs of rupees after promising a ticket to contest Assembly elections.
Police had arrested a total of eight persons in this case.
