Mangaluru, Aug 25, 2018: KPCC President Dinesh Gundurao has said that the State Cabinet expansion would take place and appointments to boards and corporations would be made in September after the urban local body elections.
Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office on August 25, Saturday, he said the JD(S)-Congress coalition government would complete its full term. He accused the Union Government led by BJP of pushing the nation towards danger. There has been no development since the past four and a half years, he said adding the Modi government has also failed to create the promised jobs.
He alleged that the BJP was only trying to win elections though Hindutva politics and was playing with the sentiments of the people.
He was also critical of the BJP MPs from Karnataka and said they remained silent on seeking flood relief or any other issue pertaining to Karnataka.
Violence in Jammu Kashmir has also increased under the BJP rule, the minorities and Dalits dread to speak against the BJP for fear of backlash, he said.
UT Khader State Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Ivan D’Souza, MLC and Harish Kumar, MLC and District Congress Chief were also present at the press meet.
