Kasargod, Nov 9, 2014: The special investigation team that was formed to probe the brutal murder of CPI(M) activist Muralidharan (35) at Seetangoli on October 27 has taken custody of all the three main accused as per the direction of a court in Kasargod.
The team has also initiated the task of taking all the three accused to the spot of the crime as well as their other hide-outs soon after executing the crime.
The accused who have been arrested and presently are in the custody of the special investigation team are Sharatraj (23), a resident of Kumble Ananthapur, Dinesh Acharya (21) of Kudrepady and Mithun Kumar (21) of Bela Darbethadka.
The police have also launched a search for Kiran Kumar and Nitin who reportedly abetted the crime and also Arun Kumar of Puttige Kallathadka who had made a Facebook post welcoming the murder.
The deceased Muralidharan was an active CPI(M) worker and Kumble Block Committee Member of the DYFI.It has been gathered that he was killed to avenge the murder of Dayanand, a BJP worker who was also the father of Sharathraj, one of the accused.
