COVID-19: Kota Srinivas Poojary inaugurates mobile throat swab collection unit

Mangaluru, May 3, 2020: The District Minister In-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary inaugurated the COVID-19 Mobile Throat Swab Collection Unit at the DC office here on Sunday.

Speaking to the media, Kota Srinivas Poojary said, ’’We have officially inaugurated the Mobile Throat Swab Collection Unit at the DC office.

It will move around the city for two weeks and collect throat swab for testing. The testing unit will help the people to get their throat swab tested free of cost. The Nirmthi Kendra will operate this unit.

MLA of Mangaluru North Constituency has also donated a Mobile throat swab collection unit to the district administration. "The vehicle has been made in such a way that it can collect samples from two people at a time. Further, the vehicle has a fan, light, water and handwash facilities,” said the MLA.
