COVID-19: 334 new cases in Karnataka, 6 deaths

Bengaluru, Feb 25, 2021:     Karnataka on Wednesday reported 334 new cases of COVID-19 and 6 related fatalities, taking the total number of infections to 9,49,183 and the death toll to 12,309, the Health department said.

A department bulletin said number of discharges went up to 9,30,778 with 313 patients getting discharged after recovery today.

According to the bulletin, out of 6,077 active cases, 5,955 patients are in isolation at designated hospitals and stable, while 122 are in ICU.

A total of over 1,84,94,364 samples have been tested so far, out of which 63,042 were tested on Wednesday alone, and 5,343 among them were rapid antigen tests.

Of the 6 deaths reported, 4 are from Bengaluru Urban and one each from Mysuru and Tumakuru.

Among the districts where the new cases were reported, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 174, Mysuru 25, Tumakuru 16, Kalaburagi 13, followed by others.

Bengaluru Urban district tops the list of positive cases, with a total of 4,04,357, followed by Mysuru 53,992 and Ballari 39,234.

Among discharges too, Bengaluru Urban tops the list with 3,95,515, followed by Mysuru 52,785 and Ballari 38,600.
