Mangaluru June 3, 2016: Senior Congress Leader Janardhana Poojary has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to respond positively to the demands of the Government Employees Association to fulfill their longstanding demands and to bring an end to disparities in salaries.
Addressing media persons at Congress office on Friday June 3, Poojary while pointing out that the government staff strike has been a success, added that the Chief Minister should have discussed the demands of the employees. The Seventh Pay Commission recommendation report says that Sixth Pay Commission recommendations have never come into force in Karnataka, Poojary said. The Government will need nearly Rs 5,000 crores to fulfill the demands of the employees, said Poojary.
