Mangaluru, July 13, 2020: Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Rupesh, District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and other officials participated in a video conference with Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on July 13, Monday to discuss the current Covid-19 situation in the district.
On this occasion the Chief Minister even secured a report on the Covid situation in the district. The CM interacted with the heads of all district administrations in the wake of the rising Covid cases in the state.
On this occasion, he also opined that he was personally against imposing any lockdown, but appealed to the public to co-operate with the government in whatever decision it takes.
It may be recalled here that today’s meeting gains significance considering that there is increasing pressure to impose a lockdown in Dakshina Kannada in the wake of the rising cases of Covid-19 infection.
