Mangalore, May 02, 2014:  May Day was observed by the CITU at a function held in front of the DC office in the city on May 1, Thursday.  Several CITU workers actively took part in a jatha which was  taken out from the CITU office on Maidan Road to the DC office.

Addressing the function held later on, CITU leader Vasantha Achari lashed out at the government for its anti-worker policies and stressed the need for the workforce to unite against oppressive policies.

CITU District President J Balakrishna Shetty, former corporator Jayanthi, Yadav Shetty, Sunil Kumar Bajal and others were present.
