CCB police foil theft attempt: arrest seven in Bejai

Mangaluru, Oct 19, 2017 : The City Crime Branch (CCB) police on October 19, Thursday have foiled a theft attempt and arrested seven persons near Bharath Mall in Bejai.

arrest 19 oct 17 Preetham Poojary (23) of Akashbhavan, Vishal Kumar (23) of Kunjathbail, Gautham Devadiga (23) of Derebail-Konchady, Vinod Raj (21) and Diwakar (29), of Moodushedde, Pravan (25), of Thokkottu and Karthik (25) of Yeyyadi are identified as accused arrested.

Sources said that the seven were plotting to commit thefts.Police on recieving information about them, swung into action took the accused into custody.

All the seven arrested are said to be the aides of Akshabhavan Sharan, who is an undertrail in jail.They have seized weapons, three bikes and six mobile phones from possession.

The arrested are being handed over to Urva police station, Investigations are in progress.
