CCB Police bust illegal drug operation: Arrests drug trafficker procuring MDMA from Bengaluru

Mangaluru, Mar 22, 2024:  The CCB police apprehended Abdul Samad, also known as Samad or Chammu (36), for his role in acquiring and distributing prohibited MDMA narcotics sourced from Bengaluru to Mangaluru and Kerala.

Samad, a resident of Loretto in Bantwal taluk, was found in possession of 46 grams of MDMA narcotics, with an estimated street value of Rs 2.3 lakh, during the arrest. Acting on precise intelligence, the CCB police intercepted Samad at Nehru Maidan in the city. Alongside the narcotics, authorities seized digital weighing scales and a mobile phone, with the total confiscated goods valued at Rs 2.4 lakh.

A case related to this incident has been registered at the CEN police station. It’s noteworthy that Samad has prior cases of POCSO violations and drug trafficking registered against him at Ullal police station.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of ACP Geetha Kulkarni of CCB, with the assistance of police inspector Shyam Sundar H M, PSI Sharanappa Bhandary, and other personnel. This successful operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to curb illegal drug activities and protect the welfare of the general public and students.
