Buses, lorry stoned by miscreants at Uppala, Kumble

Kasargod, Dec 06, 2017:   Some incidents of stoning buses and other vehicles have been reported from Uppala and Kumble on December 6, Wednesday  which is  Babri Masjid Demolition Day.

 

In one incident, a private bus on way to Anekal from Talapady was stoned at Kadambar Kileri. Luckily, none of the passengers were hurt. In another incident, a lorry heading towards Mangaluru was stoned  at Uppala Hidayatnagar.  A KSRTC bus was also targeted at Uppala Kaikamba by a group of miscreants who came by a bike. A mini bus at Kumble  too bore the brunt of miscreants in a similar fashion.

Following the incidents, bus services have been disrupted on Uppala-Bayar route while the number of buses on other routes too have reduced.

Police have stepped up vigil in the wake of the stoning incidents.
