Bus plunges into paddy field, 4 seriously injured

Udupi, Oct 26, 2011: A private bus going to Mangalore dived into a paddy field by NH66 in Katpady on the evening of Oct 26.
According to the local people, the driver was driving in a reckless manner and had tried to overtake a vehicle ahead, which led to the accident.
The bus also dashed into a truck that has been badly damaged by the impact.
Miraculously, none of the passengers lost their lives although four of them have been seriously injured.
The Kaup police have registered a case.
