Brahmavar: Student ends life, another missing from hostel

Udupi, Feb 09 2019: A 17 year old student residing in a hostel at Koorady in Brahmavar has ended his life by hanging himself to a tree near the hostel. The deceased is Mallesh of Adavibavi in Gangavathi taluk of Koppala.

suicide Meanwhile, another student from Vijayapura named Mahesh is reported missing.

Sources said both the boys had planned to escape from the hostel on February 7. Mallesh tried to escape by saying he had to visit a doctor to get medicines. However, the warden suspecting his intentions had sent another boy along with him.

Frustrated by this, he reportedly hanged himself. Both Mahesh and Mallesh were students of tenth standard and both were poor in studies and had planned an escapade as SSLC exams were nearing.

Brahmavar Police are investigating the case.
