Mangalore, August 6, 2010: “Tulunadige Dharmasthalada Kodugegalu,” a book by Abdul Azeez Haque, the chief secretary of the All India Beary Parishad, was released at NGO Hall near Government College on Aug 6, Friday. President of DK Sahitya Parishad Pradeep Kumar Kalkura received the first copy of the book.

Former President of Karnataka Sahithya Parishad Harikrishna Punaroor, who released the book, said that writing a book on Dr. Veerendra Heggade and Dharmasthala is a great opportunity and lauded the social welfare work done by Dr. Heggade.

U. H. Khalid Ujire, the principal of National Tutorial College, said in his inaugural address that writing a book on the Jain community is quite an achievement for one born in the Muslim community. Referring to Dr. Heggade as a symbol of communal harmony, he said that Dr. Heggade has never spoken a harsh word to anybody. He declared that Dr. Heggade as a true national leader. 

Rathnakar Jain, the proprietor of Jain Travels; Vice President of Ullal Sayyed Madani Darga Abdul Rasheed; Gretta Rebello, the member of Mangalore City Corporation; President of Ullal Cheerumbha Bhagavathi Temple Chandrahasa Ullal; Rehana Sheikh, the social worker; and Farooq Ullal were the chief guests. 

Pushparaj Jain of Abhish Builders and Developers made the welcome speech. Author Abdul Azeez Haque delivered the introductory speech; and Hussain Katipalla was the master of ceremonies. President of All India Beary Parishad B. A. Mohammed Haneef presided over the programme.
