Bodies of two students drowned in Someshwara beach recovered

Mangaluru, Dec 10, 2023: The bodies of two students who drowned in the sea near Someshwara were found on Sunday morning. The incident involved six students from a college in Someshwara who had gone to the beach on Saturday. At that time, Yashvit (17) from Kunjattur Adka, and Yuvaraj (17) from Kunjattur Majalu, both second-year PU commerce students, were swept away by the sea waves.

The bodies of the two deceased, who had drowned, were discovered and retrieved by the coastal police with the assistance of fire services on Sunday morning. The police had been conducting search operations in the Bettapadi area, near Uchchila, on Saturday night. Some local divers had also joined the search efforts.

On Sunday morning, the bodies were identified and sent to the private hospital in Deralkatte for post-mortem.
