Blessed Joseph Vaz statue taken to Mudipu shrine in a procession

Mangaluru, Jan 9, 2015 : Thousands of faithful participated in a procession taken out from Panir to the Blessed Joseph Vaz shrine at Mudipu carrying the statue of Joseph Vaz in a decorated vehicle on January 9, Friday.
A holy mass that was held prior to the procession was participated among others by Fr Gregory D’Souza, Parish Priest of Mudipu Church and Fr Vincent D’Souza of Panir church.
The mass at Mudipu shrine was offered by Fr Henry Sequeira. Ivan D’Souza, MLC began the Novenas at the shrine.
The canonization of Blessed Joseph Vaz will be held at Srilanka on January 14. Pope Francis will canonize Blessed Joseph Vaz.
