Kundapur, Jan 3, 2014: In yet another tragic mishap, this time reported from Belke National Highway 66, in Bhatkal, two persons of Gangolli origin lost their lives on January 2, Thursday evening.
Gangolli is in a state of shock as two more lives were lost within just a day after four a family from Gangolli were killed in a gory accident at Chennarayapattana.
In the second mishap which took place at around 4.30 pm and involved a bike and a tipper lorry two persons namely Raghavendra (35), son of Srinivas and Subrahmanya (25) son of Late Rama hailing from Bavikatte near Gangolli port met a tragic end. The two who were riding a bike were knocked down by a lorry. They were reportedly going to Gokarna to offer pooja in a temple at Sodigadde when the mishap took place. It is learnt, the two lay dead on the road for almost an hour before locals who came to know of the mishap rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to the Bhatkal Government Hospital.

The number of such accidents is too damn high and so is the ignorance shown by such lorry drivers. |
