Bike-Scorpio collision claims life of advocate, injures son

Karkala, Jan 11, 2016: A collision between a motorbike and a Scorpio vehicle claimed the life of a Belthangady based advocate, while his eight year old son sustained injuries. The accident was reported from Nallur near Parapady on January 10.
The deceased is Prashanth Shetty (45). His son Pradyuth who is injured has been hospitalised. The father and son were on way home after watching Kambala at Karkala when a speeding Scorpio crashed against their bike and overturned. Even the bike was badly mangled in the mishap.
The two were immediately rushed to the Government Hospital in Karkala and later to Manipal Hospital. However, Prashanth died on way.
A case has been registered by Karkala Rural Police.
