The officer said so when  MCC engineers informed him that the acquired seven acres of land was insuffice as  the project needed  a total of 13 acres.  Meena said as  acquisition of further more land would delay the implementation of the project,   the available land must be utilised for the project.

He further issued instructions to the authorities to  take up the works of constructing a multi-level parking facility at the old service bus stand area in Mangalore at the earliest.

Referring to the problems of areca growers who are distressed due to Kole disease, Bharatlal Meena said a proposal has been forwarded seeking an additional Rs 10 crore as compensation to the growers.

When the issue of rehabilitation of Endosulfan victims came up,  an officer informed that a five acre land has been  identified at  Alankar  to open a treatment facility for the Endosuflan affected people. At present there were two day care centres apart from a physiotherapy centre. Two mobile health units are also operational for the benefit of those  Endosulfan affected people who are bedridden, the officer said.
