The delegation apprised the DC that the one-way rule has hit hard the students of the local schools and college, people visiting  hospitals as well as traders.

The delegation even drew  the attention of the DC towards the fact that the new traffic rule has resulted in several accidents on the route and that in the absence of footpaths walking on the road has become a dangerous affair for the pedestrians.

Even  several banks and government offices functioning in the area are hit hard, the memorandum said and pointed out that the one-way rule has made people pay more for autorickshaw travel as  they have to  cover an additional one to two kms.

The memorandum also appealed to the DC to act immediately before the one-way rule  gave scope for more accidents.

Local corporator Naveen D’Souza led the delegation.
