Belthangady, Jan 02, 2017: A youth killed as bike collides head on with jeep at Gerukatte in Belthangady Taluk on January 01, Sunday.
Sharffudin Aboobaker(27), resident of Perne in Uppinangady is the deceased. He was employed in Gulf had returned just the previous day of the accident.
Sources say that Sharfuddin was on his way to Uppinagaday from Guruvayenkere, his bike collided with a Jeep plying from opposite direction at Gerukatte. Due to the impact Sharfuddin sustained grievous injuries was rushed to hospital, but was declared dead.
Case has been booked against Jeep driver Vishwanath. Investigation is under progress.
