Belthangady : Murder accused duo arrested within three hours of crime

Belthangady, Dec 2, 2016 : Police have arrested two persons wanted in connection with the murder of 35 year old Annu at Ujire on Wednesday night, within  three hours of the crime. The accused are Venkatesh (30) and Girish (29). Incidentally both are neighbours of the deceased.

 Annu was a resident of   Kalle Colony in front of the SR Bar on Ujire Charmady road. It has been gathered that the duo had intercepted Annu when he alighted from his bike near a petty shop close by the bar and stabbed him. Though the  people in the S R Bar rushed to the spot, both had fled the place. Annu who had sustained grievous stab injuries had died at the spot. A property dispute between  Annu and the accused is said to be the reason behind the murder. It is  learnt that the accused while selling their property had even sold a portion of and belonging to Annu following which he had moved the court resulting in enmity with the duo.

Both the accused were seen seated near  an Ashwathakatte  and were trapped from there.

It is said the Annu who  was a mason was a good natured man.
