Belthangady, May 01, 2017: A charred body was found  in a deserted spot nearly three kms away from Dharmasthala close by the road leading to Kokkada on April 30. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. It is suspected that he was  murdered by setting him ablaze.


body found The age of the deceased is  estimated to be around 30 to 40. At the outset it appears that the  killers might have poured some inflammable liquid in the area.  At the same time even the possibility of a suicide is not ruled out.

Senior police officials including SP Bhushan Gulabrao Borase, DySP Raveesh, Circle Inspector Nagesh Kadri and others visited the spot.

Dharmasthala Police have registered a case and are investigating.
