Puttur, Feb 13, 2018: In a tragic incident, one and a half year old Dhruva, son of Durgaprasad of Swarga-Surambailu was choked to death after the beaten rice he was eating got stuck in his throat during  breakfast on February 12, Monday. Dhruva was in his grandparents’ house at Chikkamagaluru  when the tragedy took place.

The deceased child was  the grandson of Padmanabha Acharya, a violin teacher in Puttur since 20 years. Dhruva has left behind his parents, grand parents and brother.
