Mangaluru, Oct 21, 2017 : Bantwal is gearing up to welcome Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who is scheduled to visit the town on October 22 and inaugurate various developmental programmes worth crores of rupees.
The scheduled visit of the chief minister has made the authorities be on their toes. They have now swung into action and have initiated the task of filling potholes on a war footing mainly because the CM would be travelling to Bantwal and Dharmasthala by road after landing in Mangaluru Airport.
As of now, the several potholes on the road from BC Rod to Ujire have been filled.
However, the authorities have been arguing that the road repair works have been taken as is the procedure and not just because the CM is visiting the town.
