Bantwal, Sept 22, 2018 : A youth committed suicide jumping into Netravati River from the bridge at Brahmarakutlu in Bantwal on September 22, Saturday.

The deceased is identified as Harish(35) of Madange near Brahmarakutlu. He worked as a labourer.

It is learnt that Harish who was walking along the bridge jumped into the river committed suicide. His body was later lifted with the help of local swimmers Salim, Shahuk Hameed, Basheer, M.K Harris,Arif, Tajuddin and Anwar.

The reason behind the extreme step is not known. Case has been registered.
